Family Program

At Still Waters we understand that addiction doesn’t just affect the individual, it touches everyone close to them. Because addiction is a family disease, recovery must also be a family process.

Healing for the Entire Family

Our Family Program is designed to help loved ones begin their own journey of healing while supporting the recovery of our residents.

Still Waters provides a safe and structured environment where families can reconnect, communicate, and begin to rebuild trust. Using 12-Step principles, we encourage family members to explore how addiction has personally affected them and to develop the tools needed for lifelong recovery.

What You'll Learn

During our Family Care Program, our clinical team educates families on the nature of addiction and how it impacts every member of the household. The primary goal of our Family Program is healing, beginning with the understanding that addiction is not a moral failing, but a chronic disease. Families will learn to:

  • Recognize addiction as a disease, not a choice.
  • Rebuild trust and set healthy boundaries.
  • Communicate safely and effectively.
  • Support their loved one’s recovery while beginning their own.

Through experiential and therapeutic group exercises, families gain insights into relationship patterns, learn to let go of blame, and begin restoring the foundation of love and connection that addiction once fractured.

The Still Waters Family Program

Addiction impacts the entire family, and at Still Waters, we believe recovery should too. By integrating family education and support directly into our residential program, we help families and loved ones grow alongside the person in treatment.

Our clinicians and recovery staff guide families through education, emotional support, and 12-Step principles that promote lasting healing for everyone involved.
